We couldn't find the suit we needed. So we made it.
With two children under two, mealtimes kept ending in soaked sleeves, stained outfits and another full change before the day had really begun.
Bibs covered the middle. The rest was fair game for little hands and big messes. So we designed one simple layer that covers from shoulder to ankle, goes on and off quickly and cleans up easily.
Tested at our own table. Every detail came from our own kitchen table in Belgium — and from a toddler who gave every prototype a very honest test.

Is the Smossie Suit completely waterproof?
Yes. The outer is 100% polyurethane with a polyester inner. It is designed to keep everyday wet mess from reaching the clothes underneath.
How do I clean it?
Most messes simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, machine wash at 30°C with similar colours. Do not tumble dry, iron or use fabric softener.
Which size should I choose?
Our sizes run from XS (6+ months) to XXL (3–5 years). Measure your child from shoulder to ankle and use our size guide to find the best fit. Between sizes? Choose the larger size for extra room to move and layer.
What can my child wear underneath?
Everyday clothes. The Mess Suit is designed to go straight over their outfit, so they can get stuck in while the clothes underneath stay protected.
Is it just for mealtimes?
Not at all. Mealtimes, baking, painting, crafting, messy play — if things might get messy, the Mess Suit is ready for it.
Can I mix colours and sizes in the Duo Pack?
Absolutely. Choose the colour and size of each Mess Suit separately. Two the same or completely different — it’s up to you.
